Has anyone ever gotten a non-crazy, decent-looking girl for a relationship off Plenty of Fish?

I just got back from a date from a girl who said she had a "Graduate Degree" and was working doing "Nuclear Medicine." I saw her pics and she looked adorably pretty. She seemed so sweet on her texts and I thought she was gorgeous, smart, ambitious. I drove 40 miles to Annapolis (near Naval Academy) to meet her…only to find out she was vain as all hell. Her "Graduate Degree" was basically like a Medix-type nursing assistant school. She apparently cheated her way through a fourth-tier college and didn’t know who our Vice President was or who Maryland’s governor was. She was a sorority girl to a tee and completely terrible personality, didn’t talk, didn’t like me from the start. But on Plenty of Fish…she was such a CATCH!! Basically I wasted 10 dollars worth of gas and my faith in online dating on this broad. Oh, and she claimed Ben Roesthlisberger propositioned her for oral sex when he was in off-season in Ohio like four years ago. Apparently she was "…much hotter back then and I had a tongue ring" she tells me. "But I said no because I was into [black guys] at that point and I thought he was disgusting."
Is OKCupid any better? What’s a site that works? Has PlentyofFish ever worked….the only girls I can meet at bars are hookers (well, not technically). Any advice for the online sites?

if you are serious and don’t mind dishing out some major bucks, go with a professional site, like eharmony. They are more rigorous and serious. The attitude of people about searching love is important.
Tip about Eharmony: get as many matches as you can before sign up.
LOL
its like dating anywhere else. people lie their ass off on these sites.
only time can tell if they are truthefull and worth it.
