Why do women on Plenty of Fish take forever to reply to messages?

This is something I’ve been noticing. Women will look at my profile on Plenty of Fish and send me a message. I get emailed as soon as I receive one so I usually reply right back. However it generally takes a few DAYS to get a reply. In the mean time I see them log on. So generally I just assume they weren’t interested, then I get a reply a few days later out of nowhere.
Why is this?

Well, I do plentyoffish too, and there are two reasons I don’t reply immediately. First of all, I don’t want to come across as desperate, so I try not to respond right away. Sometimes I will deliberately wait a day, but not always. The other reason is, I can’t speak for *all* the women on there, but I get so much e-mail from that site…sometimes it just takes me awhile to sort through it all and answer everyone.
I get more than a few messages too and I like to take my time to consider my answer ie by reading their profiles then I’ll consider how to answer them. Basically I’m getting an impression from your profile if not your message before I reply back.
